Zen Cohen is a video artist, photographer, art director and educator based in San Francisco, CA.  She received her MFA in Art Studio at the University of California at Davis and her BFA in Media Arts from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. Drawing from multiple influences such as theater, ritual, mysticism and media theory; her projects are imbued with a strong foundation in a feminine perspective.  Her work has been presented at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, SFMOMA, deYoung Museum, SOMarts, The Lab, The Montalvo Center, ARTSpace New Haven in CT, Vanity Projects in NY and internationally at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City and Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno in the Canary Islands. Additionally, she has worked as video editor for Al Jazeera America and a independent media producer working in collaboration with a wide range of artists and organizations.
